Smiles Light Up the Faces of Youth from Naxal-Affected Areas After Meeting the CM

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai met with young students from Sukma district today at the Mahanadi Bhavan Secretariat during their educational tour to Raipur. Extending a warm welcome, the Chief Minister inquired about their well-being and experiences. He encouraged the youth to study diligently and move forward in life, assuring them that the Chhattisgarh government stands firmly by their side. His interaction brought visible joy and confidence to the faces of the young visitors from Naxal-affected regions.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was also present on the occasion.

During the heartfelt interaction, CM Sai emphasized that Naxalites are anti-development and deliberately obstruct access to essential facilities like water, electricity, roads, and schools for the people of Bastar. He reassured the youth that the government is prioritizing the development of Bastar, and that the region will soon be free from the clutches of Naxalism.

The Chief Minister spoke warmly and personally with the youth who had come from one of the remotest areas of the state. He asked them how they felt visiting Raipur. The students shared their excitement, with many saying it was their first time visiting the capital. For some, even seeing Jagdalpur during the journey was a first. They expressed happiness at exploring new places and appreciated the opportunity to visit the Secretariat and learn about its functioning.

CM Sai encouraged them to make the most of this enriching experience, which he said would prove valuable in their future. He urged them to use the knowledge gained during the tour for their personal growth and development.

He specifically inquired about their education. Students of various age groups informed the Chief Minister that they were currently studying in Class 10, Class 12, and in college. The students engaged openly and confidently with the approachable and friendly Chief Minister. One student mentioned he was in the second year of a B.Sc. program, while another stood up to share that he was a final-year B.A. student. CM Sai appreciated their dedication to studies and motivated them to continue learning and progressing.

Notably, this educational exposure trip is part of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Motivation Scheme under the Niyad Nellanar Program, aimed at inspiring youth from the Bastar region. As part of this initiative, 95 students from Sukma — including 77 boys and 18 girls — are currently on a two-day visit to Raipur.
