Minister Hosts Felicitation Ceremony for Top 10 UG and PG Achievers from Aizawl West II

Aizawl : Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of State (Sports & Youth Services Dept., etc.) and MLA of Aizawl West II Assembly Constituency, held a felicitation ceremony this afternoon at his office chamber in MINECO, Aizawl to honor the top 10 rank holders from his constituency in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Examinations 2025.

Each awardee received a cash incentive of ₹10,000 along with a certificate of appreciation.

During the event, Minister Pu Lalnghinglova expressed his admiration for the students’ academic achievements. He said:

“Securing a place among the top 10 in Mizoram is no small feat. I am deeply proud of your dedication. Often, in the face of challenges, it’s education that shines through and transforms lives. Even though we may not be able to provide large rewards, this small gesture of appreciation is meant to inspire—not only the recipients, but also others—to strive for excellence. Let this recognition be a reminder that hard work pays off, not just for personal success but also for the pride and progress of our community.”

He further added:

“This achievement is only the beginning. Greater challenges lie ahead. As competition intensifies, I encourage you to remain focused and driven. Good performance in the classroom is a great start, but it’s the journey ahead that truly matters.”

This year, eight students from Aizawl West II constituency secured top 10 ranks in various subjects at the UG and PG level:

4. Vanlalawmpuii, D/o Thangliankhuma (Tuikual North), St. Mary’s College Shillong (NEHU) – B.Sc in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, 4th Rank
5. Lalchhanhimi Khiangte, D/o K. Lalhmingmawii (Dinthar), IASE – B.Ed, 6th Rank
6. Sharon Lalruatpuii, D/o C. Lalthlamuana (Dawrpui Vengthar), IASE – B.Ed, 8th Rank
7. Zomuansanga, S/o R. Lalrinkima (Dawrpui Vengthar), Mizoram University – MA in Public Administration, 9th Rank
8. Vanlalawmpuii, D/o KC Laihnuna (Dawrpui Vengthar), Mizoram University – MA in Economics, 10th Rank

In closing, the Minister reminded the students that:

“There are many paths to success, but knowledge is always a foundational step. I hope you will continue to be shining examples in your communities. Let today not be the end, but the beginning of your contribution to society.”

The felicitation event was attended not only by the awardees and their families but also by prominent community leaders and well-wishers.
