Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Conducts Surprise Inspection at Jamdoli Campus, Interacts with Special Needs Children

Jaipur, Aug 25: Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Ashish Modi, conducted a surprise inspection of various buildings, including the Home for Intellectually Disabled and Hostels at the Jamdoli Campus on Friday. He also inspected Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Foundation and Hostel located in Moondla.

During the inspection, Mr. Modi spent quality time interacting with the children at the Home for Intellectually Disabled. He reviewed the condition of the buildings during the monsoon, checked for waterlogging issues, and issued necessary instructions for improvements.

The Director visited classrooms, kitchens, and other facilities at the Government School for Intellectually Disabled. He engaged in light-hearted conversations with the children. The specially-abled children tied handmade rakhis on his wrist and recited poems. Mr. Modi also appreciated and encouraged the children after seeing their paintings in their notebooks.

Furthermore, Mr. Modi inspected hostels designated for Scheduled Castes, Economically Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes, and Devnarayan Balika Hostel within the Jamdoli Campus. He also visited the Intellectual Disability Teacher Training Center, State Rehabilitation and Research Institute, Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Old Age Home run by Apna Ghar, and the Chief Minister Rehabilitation Home.

He interacted with students undergoing training and shared a meal with residents of the Intellectual Disability Home, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Later, Mr. Modi visited the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Foundation (Ambedkar Peeth) in Moondla, Jamwa Ramgarh, and provided necessary directives for its functioning.

The inspection was also attended by Commissioner of the Directorate of Specially Abled, Mr. Kesarlal Meena, Additional Director Mr. Chandrashekhar, Mrs. Reena Sharma, Joint Director Mr. Dilbagh, Mr. B.P. Chandel, and other departmental officers.
