₹42,892 Crore Investment in Maharashtra, 25,892 Jobs to be Created; Hyperloop Project Gains Momentum

10 MoUs Signed in the Presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Maharashtra is emerging as the “Data Centre Capital” and “Solar Energy Integration Capital” of India. Several companies are entering these sectors, and a major transformation is also expected in the manufacturing industry. The strategic agreement with the United Kingdom has opened new doors, leading to increased investments in India. This reflects investors’ strong confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the event today, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that as part of eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and two strategic agreements signed in Mumbai, the state will attract investments worth ₹42,892 crore, which will generate over 25,892 jobs.

The agreements were exchanged in the presence of the Chief Minister at the committee hall of Mantralaya. Also present were Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Industries Secretary Dr. P. Anbalagan, MIDC CEO P. Velarasu, Development Commissioner Dipendra Singh Kushwaha, along with investors and representatives from various companies.

The Chief Minister stated that investors have shown strong commitment and positivity. He assured that the state government’s team will work alongside investors from start to finish to ensure smooth facilitation of projects.

Highlighting a key development, Fadnavis said that the Hyperloop project has gained momentum with the involvement of IIT Mumbai and IIT Madras. He emphasized that this project will bring revolutionary changes in logistics, transport, and mobility, not only in Maharashtra but across the country.

Details of the 8 MoUs and 2 Strategic Agreements:

  • Jupiter International Ltd. – ₹10,900 crore investment in solar panel manufacturing, creating 8,308 jobs.
  • Rochak Systems Pvt. Ltd. – ₹2,508 crore investment for a data centre, creating 1,000 jobs.
  • Rovison Tech Hub Pvt. Ltd. – ₹2,564 crore investment for a data centre, creating 1,100 jobs.
  • Wow Iron & Steel Pvt. Ltd. – ₹4,300 crore investment in steel industry, creating 1,500 jobs.
  • Webmint Digital Pvt. Ltd. – ₹4,846 crore investment for a data centre, creating 2,050 jobs.
  • Atlas Copco – ₹575 crore investment in the industrial equipment sector, creating 3,400 jobs.
  • LNK Green Energy – ₹4,700 crore investment in green energy, creating 2,500 jobs.
  • Prestige Estate Projects Ltd. – ₹12,500 crore investment in data centre, logistics, and real estate, creating 8,700 jobs.

In addition, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed with the Global India Business Corridor to attract investments from the UK and Europe into Maharashtra. Another agreement was signed with TUTR Hyperloop Pvt. Ltd. to establish an advanced transportation system at JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust) and Vadhavan Port.
