Deputy CM Diya Kumari Directs Officials to Transform All Anganwadi Centres into Model Facilities; Dilapidated Centres to be Relocated Immediately
Jaipur, Sept 2025 – Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women & Child Development, Smt. Diya Kumari, chaired a review meeting at the state secretariat on Thursday to assess the progress of construction, renovation, and repair works of Anganwadi centres across Rajasthan. The meeting was attended by Women & Child Development Secretary Shri Mahendra Soni, Director of Integrated Child Development Services Shri Vasudev Malawat, Chief Engineer (PWD), officials from Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Nand Ghar in-charge, and other senior officers. District Deputy Directors joined via video conference.
Reviewing district-wise progress, the Deputy CM stressed that officials must work on the ground with the goal of making every Anganwadi a model centre, ensuring timely completion of projects and optimal use of allocated funds. She instructed Deputy Directors to conduct immediate surveys of Anganwadis through District Collectors and ensure that unsafe or dilapidated centres are demolished and shifted elsewhere without delay.
Expressing displeasure at districts where repair work has not yet started, she directed that a detailed progress report on civil works be submitted within a week and overall progress be reviewed again in 15 days. She emphasized accurate reporting and warned that any negligence would be taken seriously.
Smt. Kumari further instructed officials to expedite tender processes and ensure targets are achieved on schedule. She directed Deputy Directors to monitor work effectively in the field and ensure that Anganwadis are developed with proper infrastructure.
She added that alongside the state budget, efforts must also be made to leverage CSR funds, Disaster Relief Funds, District Mineral Funds, and International MLA funds through District Collectors for the development of Anganwadi centres.
