Class 12 Exam Form Deadline Extended to Oct 20 Amid Floods: Dy CM Shinde
Mumbai, Sept 2025 : Owing to the heavy rainfall and resulting flood situation across the state, Class 12 students were facing difficulties in filling their examination forms. Considering this, the State Examination Board has decided to extend the deadline for submission of forms until October 20, 2025.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had spoken over the phone with Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse and directed him to grant an extension to ease the burden on students.
The earlier deadline for filling the examination forms was September 30, 2025. However, due to incessant rainfall and floods in regions such as Marathwada, Nashik, Solapur, and Ahilyanagar, many students were unable to complete the process on time. Several students and parents reached out to Deputy CM Shinde, requesting an extension.
Responding to these appeals, Deputy CM Shinde instructed Education Minister Bhuse to take a student-friendly decision. Acting promptly, the Education Minister contacted Sharad Gosavi, Chairman of the State Examination Board, and directed him to extend the deadline.
Accordingly, the Education Department has issued a circular announcing the extended deadline of October 20, 2025, for submission of Class 12 exam forms. In addition:
- The deadline for external students to submit their forms has been extended until October 15, 2025.
- The deadline for applications to set up new exam centers has been extended until October 10, 2025.
This decision is expected to bring significant relief to thousands of Class 12 students across Maharashtra affected by the adverse weather conditions.
