Saints Have Made Major Contributions to Social Enlightenment and Nation-Building: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nov 2025 : Saints have played a significant role in social enlightenment and the building of the nation, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Verul.

The Chief Minister visited the Om Jagadguru Janshanti Dharma ceremony held at the ashram of Sant Janardanswami in Verul. Sant Shantigiri Maharaj was present on the occasion. MLA Sanjay Kenekar, MLA Prashant Bamb, Suresh Chavhanke, and others were also in attendance.

CM Fadnavis inaugurated and offered prayers at the newly established 751-fire-pit (kunda) Yagyashala and performed the consecration of the idol of Lord Shiva. Saints Nageshwaranand and Avimukteshwaranand Swami welcomed the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the grace and guidance of Sant Shantigiri Maharaj have transformed the lives of millions. The strength needed to lead the nation on the path of progress lies in the wisdom of saints.
