Experts to Drive Focus on Sustainable Water Infrastructure at Pravasi Rajasthani Divas Sectoral Session

Jaipur, December 2025 : During Pravasi Rajasthani Divas which will be held on 10th December 2025, a series of sectoral sessions will be held to spark meaningful conversations on Rajasthan’s development and one of these sessions will be dedicated to the vital subject of water. Focusing on the theme “Development of Sustainable Water Infrastructure in Rajasthan: A Responsibility and an Opportunity,” the session will bring together leading experts and industry innovators to explore practical, scalable and technology driven solutions for strengthening the state’s water security.

 The discussion will feature Shri Manish Khandelwal, Managing Director, Ecolab India, who will shed light  on “Unlocking water security or Water-energy-AI nexus”; Dr. Debolina Kundu, Director, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), who will emphasise the importance of “Water Infrastructure Improvement”, and Shri Indranil Dutt, Managing Director & CEO, Ion Exchange (India) Limited, who will discuss “Advanced Technologies in Wastewater Recycle, Reuse and Zero Liquid Discharge”.

Furthermore, the sectoral session will also feature speakers who hold expertise in biotechnology and water conservation. Dr. Ashwani Pareek, Executive Director, National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), will speak on “Advancing Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Especially in Developing Stress-Tolerant Crops,”

 Strengthening the focus on water management, Shri Kailash Hakim, President, Federation of Surat Trade & Textile Associations (FOSTTA), will deliver insights on “Water Conservation and Resources Management,” underlining the urgent need for efficient utilisation and the role of industry-community partnerships in driving conservation outcomes. To further enhance this approach, Shri Bhupendra Paliwal, Project Head, Ramkrishna Jaidayal Dalmia Seva Sansthan (RJDSS) will share his insights on “water resource management”.

Adding a global outlook, Shri Gopal Madabhushi, Senior Vice President and South Asia & APAC Leader, Engineering and Procurement at Veolia Water Technologies, will also share his thoughts on “Water Reuse and Technology Adaptation”. Their insights are focusing on building a progressive and collaborative vision for Rajasthan, one that transforms responsibility into opportunity and strengthens the state’s water infrastructure for future generations.

 The session seeks to inspire a unified vision for the state, where innovation aligns with heritage, opportunity aligns with responsibility, and sustainable water infrastructure emerges as a keystone of Rajasthan’s future

‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’, which will be held on 10th December 2025, is a key initiative by the Government of Rajasthan to connect with its global diaspora.

  Led by the Rajasthan Foundation (RF), the state’s nodal department for diaspora outreach, the event brings together non-resident Rajasthanis, celebrate their shared identity and explore new avenues to collaborate with the state government in various segments and strengthen cultural ties.
