Focus on Strengthening Infrastructure to Boost Investment: REICO Chairman – Officers Trained on New Dimensions of Industrial Development

Jaipur, January 2026 : The two-day Residential Capacity Building Workshop organized by REICO concluded on Friday. The workshop, designed for in-charge officers of REICO’s unit and sub-unit offices, was attended by over 80 officials from across the state. Participants received guidance on developing better infrastructure in industrial areas, creating an entrepreneur-friendly environment, and promoting industrial investment in Rajasthan.

At the inaugural session, REICO Chairman Mr. Shikhar Agrawal addressed the officers, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation in REICO’s functioning. He stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of basic infrastructure in industrial areas. Mr. Agrawal highlighted that REICO should be recognized for strong infrastructure, prompt policy benefits for entrepreneurs, and collaborative officer behavior. He also stressed the importance of effective management of waste and effluent, monitoring of CETPs, smooth electricity and water supply, and ensuring efficient coordination with government departments to expedite work.

REICO Managing Director Mrs. Shivangi Swarnkar addressed the officers, saying that the primary goal of such workshops is knowledge sharing. Discussions on innovations, challenges, and solutions from various regions allow participants to learn from each other. She emphasized that REICO’s image is shaped by its officers’ work style and behavior, and officers should focus on promptly resolving entrepreneurs’ issues.

Mrs. Swarnkar also announced a strategic branding initiative for industrial areas: regions up to 50 hectares will be designated as Industrial Growth Parks (IGP), while those above 50 hectares will be called REICO Economic & Investment Zones (REIZ).

During the workshop, technical sessions covered topics such as amendments to REICO Disposal of Land Rules 1979, online modules, quality control in civil and power works, and land allocation processes with revenue and urban bodies. Participants also undertook field visits to gain practical, hands-on experience.
