State Government Committed to Preserving and Promoting Heritage: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Sindhi community has a long history marked by struggle and hardship. Its resilience and hard work have inspired everyone, while its gentle speech and warm nature have won hearts. The Sindhi community endured the trauma of Partition and left behind its birthplace, homes and businesses, but never gave up its values, faith and courage. He said the history of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation connects us with a glorious past. The Sindhi community, which has become a symbol of living with self-respect, has preserved its identity and heritage by turning challenges into opportunities time and again. The state government is committed to carrying forward this glorious heritage, he said. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony of the Sindhu Kala Kendra in Indore from Samatva Bhavan at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a grand and magnificent building of the Sindhu Kala Kendra would come up in Indore, introducing future generations to the art, culture and heritage of the Sindhi community. He said the state government had fulfilled its commitment by including the biographies of prominent personalities of the Sindhi community, including Veer Raja Dahir, social reformer and saint Kanwarram, and Shaheed Hemu Kalani, in the school curriculum. Invoking Bhagwan Jhulelal, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured the gathering at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony that he would certainly attend the inauguration of the Sindhu Kala Kendra.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that National President Shri Nitin Nabin would visit Indore on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. From the city of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, he will launch the month-long Seva Se Sankalp Abhiyan and the Swamitva Yojana and participate in various programmes.

Local MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Shri Ishwar Jhamnani, other public representatives and a large number of prominent members of the Sindhi community were present at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in Indore.
