Minister Reviews Budget Schemes, Issues Directions on Summer Preparedness in Kotputli-Behror

Jaipur, March 2026: Rajasthan’s Revenue, Colonisation and Soldier Welfare Minister and District In-charge Minister Vijay Singh Chaudhary chaired a review meeting at the Kotputli-Behror Collectorate to assess the progress of budget announcements and flagship schemes. He also reviewed preparations for summer arrangements related to drinking water, electricity, and other essential services, directing officials to ensure that welfare benefits reach the last person in the queue and that public grievances are resolved promptly.

The minister instructed officials to ensure time-bound and quality disposal of complaints registered on the Sampark portal. He emphasized accelerating efforts to provide uninterrupted basic services such as electricity, water, and healthcare to the public.

Focus on Summer Contingency Plan
Reviewing preparations for the summer season, Chaudhary directed the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to conduct surveys of faulty tubewells, leaking water tanks, and pump sets, and take necessary action. He stressed the need to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply during peak summer and to make adequate arrangements for water tankers in both urban and rural areas. He also instructed that pending pipeline works be completed swiftly and proposals for repair of motor pumps be sent without delay under the summer contingency plan.

Healthcare Preparedness for Seasonal Diseases
The minister directed the health department to remain alert in view of the rising risk of heatwave-related illnesses such as heatstroke and dehydration. He emphasized ensuring adequate stock of medicines and availability of essential medical facilities to provide timely and effective treatment to the public.

Power Supply and Infrastructure Development
Officials of the electricity department were instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, speed up connection and repair works, and accelerate the development of new grid substations and transmission lines. The minister also called for immediate resolution of electricity-related complaints to provide relief to citizens.

To improve connectivity and traffic movement, he directed that proposed road projects be initiated at the earliest and ongoing works be completed with quality standards. He also emphasized the early commencement of the Kotputli bypass project.

Law and Order and Anti-Drug Measures
Praising the police for implementing the lane system, the minister urged them to strengthen it further. He also directed stricter action to curb illegal trafficking and storage of narcotics, aiming to maintain law and order effectively.

Progress Under ‘Panch Gaurav’ Initiative
Reviewing works under the ‘Panch Gaurav’ initiative, Chaudhary instructed officials to implement activities effectively and ensure wide publicity to accelerate overall district development.

Timely Completion of Budget Announcements
The minister directed all departments to complete budget announcements within stipulated timelines, adhering to rules and quality standards. He reiterated that public grievances must be addressed on priority through the Sampark portal.

He also stressed vigilance regarding domestic LPG supply to ensure that citizens do not face any difficulty in accessing cooking gas. Additionally, progress of ‘Harit Rajasthan’ and other welfare schemes was reviewed.

Cleanliness and Urban Services
Municipal bodies were instructed to ensure proper garbage collection and sanitation in accordance with prescribed standards.

During the meeting, District Collector Priyanka Goswami presented a detailed overview of budget announcements, development works, flagship schemes, and the summer contingency plan through a presentation. She assured that all directions issued by the minister would be implemented effectively.

The meeting was attended by Kotputli MLA Hansraj Patel, Superintendent of Police Satveer Singh, Additional District Collector Omprakash Saharan, Additional CEO Hariom Meena, Municipal Commissioner Arun Sharma, and other officials.
