PM Shri Modi Spearheading a Nationwide Campaign for womens empowerment: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh government is committed towards women empowerment. He praised the nationwide campaign for women’s empowerment spearheaded by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and noted that the state is actively running numerous welfare schemes to support women. To celebrate and honor sisters, Rakshabandhan festivities are being organized across communities and government levels. Dr. Yadav also anticipated a significant increase in women’s representation in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and local bodies in the future.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Rakshabandhan programme in the Huzur area of Bhopal district today, where he honored the sisters with heartfelt gestures. He received Rakhi from them and bestowed gifts in return. Despite the rainy weather, a substantial number of sisters came out to participate in the event. The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by regional MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma. The sisters presented a grand Rakhi to Dr. Yadav, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that in Indian culture, the mind holds greater value than material wealth. While Lakshmi is worshipped once a year during Diwali with hopes for prosperity, our numerous festivals throughout the year honor various deities with heartfelt reverence. Following Rakshabandhan, we eagerly anticipate Janmashtami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. Approximately five thousand years ago, Lord Krishna honored Draupadi as his sister, underscoring the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Each of our festivals carries profound significance and Rakshabandhan is a time to honor and respect our sisters, a sentiment that continues as we approach Janmashtami. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also noted that some individuals opposed to cultural traditions are criticizing the celebration of Janmashtami.
Regional MLA Shri Sharma remarked that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is immensely popular among sisters, often presenting them with gifts. He highlighted that Dr. Yadav has implemented various welfare programs benefiting not just sisters but all segments of society. Today, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the Rakshabandhan festival to extend his respect and appreciation to the sisters.
Industries to prioritize sisters in their workforce.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Regional Industry Conclaves are being organized across the state with the aim of creating job opportunities for both brothers and sisters. Last month, an Industry Conclave was held in Jabalpur and a Conclave is scheduled for August 28th in Gwalior. Similar events will follow in Sagar and Rewa. The conclaves are designed to increase the participation of sisters in various industries, including textiles. New industrial units will prioritize hiring women, offering significant employment opportunities for them.
