Simplify the procedure for acquiring a caste certificate: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed the simplification of the caste certificate application process in the state. He also said that the systems for obtaining birth and death certificates should be made more accessible through improved coordination among relevant departments. Dr. Yadav instructed the implementation of mess facilities and the construction of boundary walls in post-matric girls’ hostels for backward classes to enhance security. Additionally, solar panels will be installed in these hostels. For the 2024-25 budget, he approved a separate scholarship portal and allocated Rs 560 crore to supplement existing provisions for backward class post-matric scholarships. These directives were issued during a review of the Backward Class-Minority Welfare and Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Welfare Department at Mantralaya, where Department Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and other officials were present.

Youth should be given training in entrepreneurship and businesses as per market demand

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the need for ensuring regular attendance of students receiving scholarships. He also highlighted the importance of evaluating the contributions of students benefiting from the Backward Class Foreign Study Scholarship to the state. Regarding the scheme aimed at providing employment abroad to unemployed youth from backward classes, Dr. Yadav called for intensified efforts to facilitate language proficiency in selected state divisions. Additionally, he stressed the need to align businesses and products with market demand through the Sardar Patel Employment Training Scheme and to establish centers of excellence focused on traditional backward class businesses. Dr. Yadav also underscored the necessity to expand the activities under the Chief Minister’s Backward Class and Minority Enterprise and Self-Employment Scheme.

Counseling of police officers should be done regarding Kanjar, Sansi, Pardhi communities

During the review of the Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Welfare Department, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that along with the government efforts to connect the youth and next generation of Kanjar, Sansi, Pardhi and other communities with education, entrepreneurship, and development, social Institutions should also be motivated to take initiative. Necessary training should be provided to the youth of these communities for selection in police, home guards, and security-related services. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that police officers and media should be counseled to give up the addresses used for Kanjar, Sansi, and Pardhi communities as a result of colonial influence. The Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-nomadic castes were also permitted to construct community buildings for cultural and community activities. It was told in the meeting that the work of survey of these castes has also been started.
