Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Thursday during his study tour to America. He visited the United Nations General Assembly Room, Security Committee Room etc. and understood the working of the organization. Public Works Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, who accompanied him on the study tour, was also with him during this time. Shri Saw went there on the invitation of Chief Finance Officer Shri Anand Pandey at the United Nations Headquarters. Shri Pandey is originally a resident of Belsari (Takhatpur) in Bilaspur district. After visiting the United Nations Headquarters, Shri Saw said that a son of Belsari of Bilaspur is working on the dignified post of Chief Finance Officer in such an important office of the world. This is a matter of pride for the entire Chhattisgarh.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw also attended the program organized in his honor by people of Indian origin at Royal Alberts Palace in New Jersey. In the program, he told about the work being done for the development of Chhattisgarh and the country as well as about the culture, tourism, mythological beliefs, resources and simple people of Chhattisgarh. He also shared his views about developed Chhattisgarh. Shri Saw invited Indians settled in America to visit Chhattisgarh and see its unique charm and natural beauty. Shri Saw also asked about the people of Chhattisgarh living there. He presented a photograph of the artwork of Lord Shri Ram made of plums made by him in Lormi to the organizers of the program. Addressing the
people of Indian origin in New Jersey, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw said that wherever people of India have gone in the world, they are contributing to the development of that country. They are increasing the honor and respect of India by being harmonious. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving towards becoming the third largest economy of the world.
