One day workshop organized on Tribal Pride Day under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University

A one-day workshop was organized on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day at Government Engineering College, Raipur under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. The objective of this workshop is to bring forth the historical, social and spiritual contribution of the tribal society on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day.

The program was organized keeping in mind the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati (5 October) and the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda (15 November), under which various programs will be organized for 40 days from 5 October to 15 November across the state. Through these programs, the glorious past of the tribal society, their social values ​​and important role in the freedom movements will be brought to the fore.

Coordinators and representatives from various engineering, polytechnic and ITI institutes across the state participated in this workshop. The chief guest of the program was Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. As the main trainer and speaker, Shri Ramnath Kashyap from Bastar and social worker Shri Vaibhav Surange threw light on the historical, social and spiritual aspects of tribal society. A beautiful exhibition of tribal heroes was also set up at the venue, which was the center of attraction among the students and professors.

On this occasion, CSVTU Vice Chancellor Prof. M.K. Verma, Vanvasi Vikas Samiti State President Mr. Umesh Kachhap, Registrar Prof. Ankit Arora, Government Engineering College Principal Dr. M.R. Khan, Dr. Anurag Jain State Secretary Vanvasi Vikas Samiti, Deputy Director of Technical Education and National Service Scheme officials were present.

The program was conducted by Mr. Rajiv Sharma. On this occasion, an attractive welcome dance was also presented by tribal girl students. A large number of scholars and students from Sarguja, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg and Bastar divisions participated in the program.
