67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference – Rajasthan Assembly Moves Towards Becoming the Best Assembly
Jaipur : Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Mr. Vasudev Devanani stated that historic innovations have been made in the Rajasthan Assembly, such as public viewings, all-party meetings, and publishing the calendar according to the Indian calendar year. He said that the Rajasthan Assembly is progressing towards becoming the best assembly with new momentum, direction, and innovations. During the general assembly of the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference held in Sydney, Australia, on Thursday, Speaker Devanani highlighted these innovations in the Rajasthan Assembly.
Mr. Devanani mentioned that the Rajasthan Assembly is now open to the public. Citizens, students, and researchers are viewing the political narrative museum within the assembly, and the number of daily visitors continues to grow. Rajasthan’s rich culture and political history are gaining recognition nationally and internationally. The public viewing offers tourists a close-up experience of the unique architecture of the Rajasthan Assembly.
Entering the Assembly with the National Flag
During the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s general assembly, speakers from various Indian state assemblies entered collectively, bearing the Indian national flag, symbolizing India’s pride on foreign soil. This entry with the tricolor allowed the assembly speakers to feel a sense of honor.
Meeting Between Mr. Devanani and Mr. Qadir Shah
At the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conference, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Mr. Vasudev Devanani met Sindh Assembly Speaker Mr. Owais Qadir Shah. During this meeting, they exchanged information about Sindh’s arts, culture, and history, conversing in Sindhi. Mr. Qadir Shah also invited Mr. Devanani to visit Pakistan. It is noteworthy that Mr. Devanani has been elected five times consecutively as the MLA from Ajmer North, a Sindhi-majority constituency.
