District-Level Fertilizer Distribution Regulatory Task Force Meeting Held Under District Collector’s
Jaipur : The first meeting of the District-Level Fertilizer Distribution Regulatory Task Force was held on Friday in the District Collectorate Auditorium.
The meeting, chaired by District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, discussed the availability of various fertilizers in the district, month-wise demand, and identification of areas with higher demand.
The District Collector directed representatives of all fertilizer-producing/supplying agencies to ensure the supply of fertilizers as per demand and provide them to farmers at the prescribed rates. Department officials were instructed to take effective quality control measures through fertilizer inspectors to prevent hoarding and black marketing.
Additionally, keeping in mind the upcoming demand for urea fertilizers for Rabi crops, the district’s suppliers and sellers were instructed to stock urea in advance to ensure timely availability to farmers.
The District Collector emphasized raising awareness among farmers about using SSP and urea or NPK as alternatives to DAP fertilizers and applying balanced fertilizers based on soil testing laboratory recommendations. He also stressed promoting organic farming.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector (North) Shri Mukesh Kumar Moond, Director of Agriculture Shri L.N. Bairwa, Joint Director of Agriculture Shri Rakesh Kumar Patni, Joint Registrar of the Cooperative Department Mrs. Preeti Yadav, officials from the police department, representatives of various fertilizer-producing/supplying agencies, and other concerned department officials.
