‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 

Officials entrusted with Protocol and Liaisoning duties undergo orientation program at JECC, Sitapura ahead of ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 -Over 250 students from Jaipur-based universities will participate in ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 as volunteers -Top officials from Industry Department preside over orientation program, apprise officials, student volunteers of assigned duties

Jaipur : Ahead of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, over 150 Government of Rajasthan officials and 250 student volunteers participated in an orientation program today. The orientation programs for the officials entrusted with the protocol and liaisoning duties and student volunteers were organized at JECC, Sitapura where the investment summit is going to be organized on December 9, 10 and 11. 

The orientation program was presided over by Shri Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Joga Ram, Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Rajasthan, Shri Rohit Gupta, Commissioner, Industries, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Sourabh Swami, Additional Commissioner, BIP, Government of Rajasthan and other officials of the Government of Rajasthan.

The protocol and liaisoning officials along with the student volunteers will help in efficiently organizing the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. The protocol officers have been entrusted with the task of receiving the guests and delegates from the airport and accompanying them to the hotel and the venue of the summit. The officials will ensure that the guests don’t encounter any hassles during their conveyance from one part of the city to another. The student volunteers, on the other hand, will be stationed at key locations at JECC including the registration desk, parking area, ‘May I help you’ desks, dinner and cultural venues among others. 

Shri Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries, Government of Rajasthan, speaking on the occasion, said, “Rajasthan is renowned world over for its hospitality, vibrant culture and ingrained belief in the tenet of ‘Atithi Devo Bhawa.’ The orientation programs were organized with an objective to brief the officials and student volunteers about their respective tasks and acclimatize them with their duties ahead of the summit. The summit also provides them an opportunity to gain insights on the operational nitty-gritties of organizing such a large-scale event.”

The officials and volunteers were briefed about the tentative flow of the events and informed about their responsibilities and assigned duties. They were also apprised of the VIP protocols and security restrictions in place at the venue. 

Over 150 officials of the Government of Rajasthan including the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officials were part of the orientation program. 

The student volunteers who underwent the orientation were from Jaipur-based colleges and universities including JECRC University and Poornima University among others.

The three-day investment summit, being organized at JECC, Sitapura, will witness the presence of industry captains, investors, international delegates, and diplomats from around the world. The 3-day summit, to be held on 9th-10th-11th December, will have an inaugural session, country sessions and 12 thematic sessions spread throughout the three days. Special conclaves on the Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) community, Micro-Small-Medium sized Enterprises (MSMEs) will also be organized during the summit. In addition to this, Rajasthan Global Business Expo is also being organized as part of the summit.

About the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024-

The Government of Rajasthan, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, will be hosting the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 on 9th, 10th, and 11th December 2024 in the capital, Jaipur. The state government has signed MoUs for investments worth over INR 20 lakh crore with different firms so far through various domestic and international roadshows held in Mumbai, Delhi, South Korea, Japan, UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Germany, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia as well as through different sectoral Pre-Summits and District-level summits. 

The 3-day mega summit, which aims to attract and facilitate global investment, innovation, and partnerships in the state, is organized with the support of the Industry and Commerce Department, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), and RIICO, with BIP serving as the nodal department for this summit. During the summit, different country sessions and thematic sessions on different sectors, like Women Entrepreneurs, Manufacturing, Water Security, Sustainable Energy, Healthcare, Sustainable Mining, Startups, Education and Skilling, Sustainable Finance, Agri-business, Tourism and Infrastructure and supply chain, will be held.
