Vice President, Prime Minister and other Dignitaries offer homage to Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas

The commemoration of the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was marked with offering of floral tributes by Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Union Ministers, Parliamentarians, and many other dignitaries. The event was organized today in New Delhi by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) on behalf of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, at Prerna Sthal, Parliament House Campus, near the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Paying his respects to the towering leader, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar in a post on the social media platform ‘X’ said that Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was an eminent leader, freedom fighter and a social reformer who played a seminal role in drafting the Constitution of India and championed the cause of marginalized communities. The Minister noted in the post that just as the Constitution made by Dr. Ambedkar is relevant for India and the World, the ideals and inspiring life of the great leader is exemplary for everyone even today.

The Prerna Sthal was open for the public to offer tributes to the creator of the Constitution of India. Thousands of men, women and children came to pay their obeisance to Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the venue today.
