Meeting of the Chief Minister with MLAs from Ajmer and Bikaner Divisions

Jaipur – Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the state’s commitment to the empowerment of every section of society through the budget. He stated that the implementation of every budgetary announcement must be ensured at the grassroots level to provide relief to the public. Stressing the goal of achieving a “Developed Rajasthan by 2047,” he highlighted the timely and effective execution of budget announcements.

Addressing a meeting with MLAs from Ajmer and Bikaner divisions at his residence regarding the implementation of budget announcements for the fiscal year 2024–25, Sharma urged all legislators to hold regular meetings with local administrations to ensure continuous monitoring of budgetary projects. He assured that there would be no shortage of resources for the execution of these announcements.

Antyodaya as the Guiding Principle

The Chief Minister reiterated that the government operates with the vision of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person), inspired by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He emphasized that the government’s schemes aim to uplift and ensure the welfare of the most marginalized sections of society, including youth, women, farmers, and workers. He urged MLAs to remain connected with their constituencies and ensure that these welfare schemes benefit the targeted groups.

Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Sharma announced the opening of Atal Gyan Kendras in every gram panchayat on the centenary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These centers will feature libraries, e-libraries, and facilities similar to e-Mitra, ensuring public access to various services. The centers will appoint “Atal Preraks” to deliver these benefits effectively.

Promoting District Identity and Hosting Khelo India 2026

The Chief Minister instructed that under the Panch Gaurav program, each district should identify one crop, species, product, tourism destination, and sport for promotion. Preparations for hosting the 2026 Khelo India Games in Rajasthan should commence at the earliest.

Energy Self-Reliance by 2027

Sharma highlighted the government’s goal to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector by 2027. He urged MLAs to collaborate with district collectors to implement the MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. Most of these agreements pertain to the energy sector, and their success is critical for ensuring daytime electricity for farmers.

Water and Infrastructure Development

He assured the rectification of irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission under the previous government, speeding up the mission’s progress. The Rising Rajasthan Summit and revised ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project) were hailed as milestones for the state’s future.

Central Minister’s Appreciation

Union Minister for Forest and Environment, Bhupendra Yadav, congratulated the Chief Minister on the reorganization of districts and praised the state’s rapid execution of schemes. He acknowledged the positive investment environment created by the Rising Rajasthan Summit.

The meeting also reviewed the financial approvals, land allocation, and progress of ongoing works under budget announcements for Ajmer and Bikaner divisions. Legislators expressed gratitude for the district reorganization decision. Key ministers, including Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara, and Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, were present, along with MLAs from the two divisions.
