Rajasthan Launches ‘Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan’ for NEP 2020 Implementation

Education Department to Launch ‘Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan’ for Effective Implementation of NEP 2020 – Key Meeting Held Under Education Minister’s Leadership

Jaipur – A crucial meeting on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was held at the Education Complex auditorium under the leadership of Education Minister Shri Madan Dilawar. The meeting focused on the structural reforms in the state’s education system and the upcoming Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan (MSRA), aimed at holistic educational development, modern teaching methods, and necessary reforms.

The Education Minister emphasized strengthening primary education in the mother tongue, highlighting that local dictionaries for 12 districts have already been prepared, with the remaining ones to be completed soon. He assured that quality educational work would be carried out with the assistance of experts at RSCERT, ensuring student-centric improvements. He also pledged to consider and implement valuable suggestions shared by educationists.

Rajasthan Aims to Become a Model State

Education Secretary Shri Krishna Kunal outlined the objectives of Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan, stating that the campaign aims to establish Rajasthan as a model state under NEP 2020, increase enrollment in government schools, and enhance education quality. Of the 202 tasks outlined in NEP 2020, 185 will be implemented, categorized into four key areas.

The Secretary also discussed initiatives focusing on students, teachers, holistic education, and academic excellence, along with strategies to improve school resources, achieve full literacy, and introduce necessary curriculum changes. He highlighted plans to reward high-performing teachers and addressed increasing school enrollment and Aadhaar-linked student identification (Apar ID).

The meeting saw participation from State Project Director & Commissioner Smt. Anupama Jorwal, Director of Elementary Education Shri Sitaram Jat, Additional Project Director Shri Suresh Kumar Bunkar, and other distinguished educationists.
