11-Digit Unique Farmer ID for Every Farmer
The Farmer Registry is an initiative under the AgriStack project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. It aims to digitally document key agricultural details such as farmers’ demographics, land holdings, GPS coordinates of farmlands, and crop patterns. This data will be stored in a digital infrastructure, and each farmer will be assigned an Aadhaar-linked 11-digit unique ID for seamless identity verification.
The Farmer ID is a digitally verifiable identity and can be accessed on the www.rjfr.agristack.gov.in portal. After generating the ID, any modifications related to land ownership, such as adding or removing a plot, can be processed through the patwari, land surveyor, or tehsildar.
Through a mobile app/website, all land records linked to a farmer’s Aadhaar will be integrated, and an e-signature process will be completed after the farmer’s online consent.
