Deputy Speaker Attends MZI Kolasib Rising Day Celebration
Kolasib : The Mizo Zaimi Inzawmkhawm (MZI) Kolasib celebrated its 35th Rising Day at TNT Kolasib with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Pu Lalfamkima, Deputy Speaker of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly, as the chief guest. The program featured speeches and musical performances by MZI members and renowned artists from Kolasib District.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest emphasized the significant role of MZI in fostering unity and promoting Mizo music. He acknowledged the contributions of MZI members and expressed gratitude for their efforts in organizing the event at TNT Kolasib. He further encouraged the association to continue striving for progress and excellence.
In his speech, the chief guest highlighted that skilled musicians are an asset to society. However, he stressed that self-discipline and perseverance are crucial for sustained success. He advised musicians to remain committed to their art, emphasizing that music should not be used as an escape from challenges but as a tool for growth and achievement.
MZI Kolasib Secretary, Pu VL Hmangaihzuala, presented a report, stating that MZI Kolasib was established in 1990 and has since played a vital role in promoting Mizo music. He mentioned that this 35th Rising Day celebration was not only a platform for artistic growth but also an opportunity to support underprivileged individuals through charitable activities and concerts.
As part of the event, MZI members also contributed financial assistance to TNT Kolasib, demonstrating their commitment to community support and development.
