Aizawl One-Day Purple Fair
Aizawl : The Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, in collaboration with the National Institute for Persons with Disabilities – Regional Centre, Aizawl, organized the “Purple Fair” today at AR Lammual, Aizawl. The event aimed at showcasing the skills and talents of persons with disabilities, promoting inclusivity, and displaying cultural diversity. The Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl, Er. Lalhriatpuia, graced the event as the chief guest.

A total of 15 stalls were set up, where persons with disabilities displayed and sold their handcrafted products. The event featured traditional dances such as Chheih Lam, Siktuithiang Lam, and Sarlamkai, along with live band performances. Various sports activities were also organized as part of the celebration. Additionally, essential assistive devices and support materials were distributed to persons with disabilities.
