Three Tourists from Dombivli, Thane District Killed in Terrorist Attack at Pahalgam; District Administration Actively Assisting Bereaved Families
Thane : In a cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, 27 tourists have tragically lost their lives, including several from Maharashtra.
Among the deceased are three residents of Dombivli city in Thane district: Hemant Joshi from Navapada, Sanjay Lele from Pandurang Wadi, and Atul Mone from the Nandivli area, as confirmed by authorities.
The district administration is fully operational and committed to providing all possible assistance to the families of the deceased.
Top state officials — including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, and District Collector Ashok Shingare — are closely monitoring the situation. They have directed concerned agencies to provide necessary support to the affected families.
In light of these events, the District Collector’s Office and the District Disaster Management Authority have appealed to citizens: if anyone from the district or their acquaintances is currently in Pahalgam, they should immediately inform the district administration at 9372338827 or 7304673105.
Additionally, a 24×7 Help Desk has been set up for tourists in Srinagar at the District Collector’s Office. The Emergency Control Room and Help Desk are functioning round the clock at the district headquarters to ensure timely assistance.
