Agriculture & Horticulture Secretary Participates in Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan Camp in Tonk District
Jaipur : Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture, Shri Rajan Vishal, visited Tonk district where he participated in the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan camp held at Chabrana. He also inspected the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute in Avikanagar, SIAM, and various Agriculture Department offices.
During his visit to the camp in Chabrana, the Secretary interacted with farmers and encouraged them to get Soil Health Cards issued. He instructed the Joint Director of the Agriculture Department, Tonk, to address the concerns raised by the farmers and to ensure that the camp activities are conducted as per the circulars issued by the department. He emphasized that access to quality inputs and knowledge of advanced farming techniques are key to high yields and low costs.
Shri Rajan Vishal addressed farmers’ queries satisfactorily during the camp and advised agricultural scientists to conduct research based on the needs of the farmers. He also suggested compiling the feedback and innovations received during the campaign to prepare a roadmap for future planning. He assured the farmers that the Agriculture Department is committed to addressing their issues and meeting their expectations.
He also inspected the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute in Avikanagar and issued necessary directives.
During the inspection of SIAM Tonk and the Agriculture Department offices, he directed officials to install speakers on all seats in the SIAM auditorium, ensure continuous functioning of surveillance cameras, maintain cleanliness in the premises, and promptly complete any pending construction work found in the newly built auditorium.
He suggested inviting private organizations to utilize the auditorium to generate revenue. While inspecting the aquarium located at the site, he instructed that the vacant areas around it be beautified.
