CM Flags Off Half Marathon, Urges Youth to Stay Healthy and Focused
Jaipur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday flagged off a half marathon in Jaipur and emphasised that physical and mental well-being are essential for a happy and successful life. He said India is a nation of youth, and maintaining good health is crucial to nurturing the country’s young population.
Addressing participants at the event organised by The Times of India at Mahindra World City on Ajmer Road, the Chief Minister stated that the progress of youth directly determines the progress of society and the nation. He urged young people to move forward in the right direction, achieve their goals, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the country.
Sharma highlighted that the state government has worked over the past two-and-a-half years to secure the future of youth by providing ample opportunities in both government and private jobs, as well as promoting self-employment. He added that policies and schemes of both the Central and State governments are focused on youth welfare, encouraging them not only to benefit personally but also to help extend these benefits to those at the grassroots level.
After flagging off the marathon, the Chief Minister also planted saplings, sending a message on environmental conservation. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, with many joining the marathon in large numbers.
Among those present were Times of India Director Anurag Agrawal and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited MD and CEO Amit Kumar Sinha, along with several other dignitaries.
