Election Commissioners Hold Dialogue with CPI(M) Delegation

Mumbai : Chief Election Commissioner Dyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi, held a meeting today with a delegation of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), led by party General Secretary M.A. Baby, at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi. This interaction is part of the ongoing series of discussions initiated by the Election Commission with presidents of national and state-level political parties, providing them a significant platform to directly communicate their suggestions to the Commission.

The initiative aims to further strengthen the electoral process by making it more effective and robust within the existing legal framework, through the participation of all relevant stakeholders. Earlier, on May 6, 2025, the Commission met with a delegation of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Kumari Mayawati, and on May 8, 2025, it interacted with a delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by party president Jagat Prakash Nadda.

So far, a total of 4,719 all-party meetings have been organized, including 40 by Chief Electoral Officers, 800 by District Election Officers, and 3,879 by Electoral Registration Officers. Through these meetings, more than 28,000 representatives from various political parties have participated in the dialogue process.
