Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore Announces ₹45 Crore for Development of Jaipur’s Vishwakarma Industrial Areas
Jaipur – Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan’s Industries and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the infrastructure of RIICO industrial zones.
Colonel Rathore announced that ₹45 crore has been sanctioned by RIICO for the development of Vishwakarma and Vishwakarma Extension industrial areas in Jaipur. This investment will focus on improving roads and other essential infrastructure to facilitate smooth operations for local entrepreneurs.
For the financial year 2024–25, ₹28 crore has been approved at Colonel Rathore’s initiative, with work orders worth ₹17 crore already issued. Completed and ongoing projects include blacktopping and cement concrete road construction, drainage system upgrades, and the undergrounding of overhead power lines.
In FY 2024–25, RIICO sanctioned a total of ₹27.91 crore for the development of Vishwakarma areas and issued work orders amounting to ₹17.26 crore. So far, ₹4.23 crore has been spent, covering 14 km of road construction, 13,500 square meters of paved shoulder work, 2 km of upgraded drains, and 3.5 km of underground power cabling. Most of these projects are already completed, with the remainder progressing swiftly.
Looking ahead to FY 2025–26, plans are in place to upgrade 7.25 km of roads using white-topping cement concrete pavement and to improve 3.2 km of drainage using RCC box-type structures. Additionally, overhead power lines at major intersections will be shifted underground, and selected roads will be widened to ensure smoother traffic flow within the industrial zones.
