Appeal to Senior Citizens to Apply for ‘Mukhya Mantri Vyoshree’ Scheme
Mumbai : The Chief Minister Vyoshree Yojana has been launched for senior citizens of the state aged 65 years and above by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance. The Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare, Mumbai Suburban, has appealed to senior citizens to apply for this scheme.
The “Mukhyamantri Vyoshree Yojana” aims to provide necessary aids and equipment to senior citizens of the state, enabling them to live a normal life despite age-related disabilities and infirmities. The scheme also includes measures to maintain their mental health through facilities like Manah Swastha Kendra.
Starting from the year 2024-25, eligible beneficiaries can apply by visiting this link and filling out the application form. The form can be submitted during office hours at the office of the Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare, Mumbai Suburban, Administrative Building, 4th Floor, R.C. Marg, Chembur (East), Mumbai-71.
The eligibility criteria for this scheme are as follows:
- Beneficiaries must be senior citizens of the state.
- Citizens who have completed 65 years of age by December 31, 2023, are eligible.
- An Aadhaar card is required for identification. If the beneficiary does not have an Aadhaar card, another identity document will be acceptable.
- The annual family income of the beneficiaries should be within 2 lakhs.
- Applicants must provide a Xerox copy of their nationalized bank passbook.
