On the instructions of CM Sai, two disabled persons got battery operated tricycles
Raipur : On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the district administration has provided battery operated motorized tricycles to two disabled persons. On receiving the battery operated tricycle, disabled persons Tikeshwar and Gauri have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai and the district administration.
34-year-old handicapped Mr. Tikeshwar Patel, resident of Village Atharaghudi of Pithora development block of Mahasamund district and 30-year-old Gauri Khandel, resident of Village Remda are very happy to receive a tricycle from the hands of Collector Mr. Prabhat Milk. Earlier, both the handicapped had to take help of a family member or someone to commute. Getting a motorized tricycle will now make it easier for them to commute in the village or outside the village. Handicapped Tikeshwar Patel said that now he will get a chance to improve his financial condition further through his business. Similarly, Gauri Khandel said that getting a motorized tricycle has given me an opportunity to stand on my own feet.
Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department, Mrs. Sangeeta Singh said that both of them are more than 80 percent handicapped, therefore automatic tricycle has been given by the Social Welfare Department. So that they can do their daily work easily and earn their living through self-employment.
