Eklavya Sports Academy Taekwondo Players Selected for Nationals

Raipur, Aug 2025 : Special efforts are being continuously made by the district administration of Jashpur to promote sports. In line with this objective, the Eklavya Sports Academy has become a hub for nurturing the sporting talent of children. Selected players here receive regular training in various disciplines, enabling them to showcase their skills at state and national-level competitions.

Sports Officer and Deputy Collector, Shri Sameer Bara, informed that in the Taekwondo discipline, children are receiving continuous training under the guidance of coach Nandlal Yadav. As part of this effort, eight players from the academy participated in the 21st State-Level Taekwondo Championship held in Ambikapur from August 22 to 24, 2025.

Delivering an outstanding performance in the competition, seven academy players secured gold medals and qualified for the nationals. The winners include Manish Bhagat, Shivraj Banjara, Ajay Kumar Chauhan, Bharat Pankra, Rakesh Ram, Arjun Ram, and Karan Ram. Meanwhile, Sahil Ekka earned a bronze medal, bringing further pride to the district.

All these players will now represent Chhattisgarh in the upcoming national-level championship. Congratulations and best wishes have been extended to the players, their coach, and everyone associated with the academy for this remarkable achievement.
