Lo Zawh Pui To Be Celebrated

Sept, 2025 – On Friday, September 5, 2025, the Lo Zawh Pui festival will be celebrated at Hmuntha Zau, Serchhip District. The event is being jointly organized by the Tourism Department, the Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Department, and the Association of Tour Operators Mizoram (ATOM), and preparations are in full swing.

The people of Hmuntha village are actively engaged in the preparations, contributing their efforts to ensure the success of the festival. The program is scheduled to begin at 11 AM, with local farmers from Hmuntha showcasing and selling their agricultural produce. Alongside this, there will be cultural performances including folk songs and dances, as well as an exhibition and sale of local farm products by farmers.

The entry fee for the event has been fixed at ₹200 per person. Agriculture Minister P.C. Vanlalruata and Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar are also expected to attend.

As part of the festivities, traditional local dishes made from pork, beef, chicken, and mithun meat will be prepared and served to the people, adding to the celebratory spirit of Lo Zawh Pui.
