State-Level Teacher Appreciation Ceremony: “Teachers Are Architects of Life and Nation Builders”

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma addressed the State-Level Teacher Appreciation Ceremony at Birla Auditorium, emphasizing that Teacher’s Day is not just a celebration but a day to express gratitude toward educators who shape society’s future. He highlighted that teachers are the craftsmen of life and builders of the nation. The CM reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to improving education quality, teacher welfare and recognition, better working conditions, and ensuring a bright future for students.

Honoring the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, he noted that education should not only impart knowledge but also teach life skills and values. Teachers, he said, are both repositories of knowledge and dream inspirers; their guidance instills hope in students and molds them with essential moral values like truth, non-violence, compassion, service, and patriotism.

CM Sharma underlined the guru-shishya tradition of Indian culture, where teachers have historically been life guides, from Maharishi Dronacharya to Chanakya, imparting both knowledge and values. Rajasthan, he said, has long been a sacred land of education and culture, with centers of learning like Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar, Pushkar, and Mount Abu nurturing both scientific and spiritual education.

The CM highlighted several key initiatives: over 20,000 appointments in the education department, advertisements for 18,000 teaching posts, promotions for 33,217 staff, installation of 8,000+ smart classrooms, and free tablets with internet connectivity for 88,800 meritorious students. Online live classes through e-Paathshala WhatsApp channels further support learning.

Scholarships, coaching programs, and skill training have strengthened students, while schemes like the Kalibai and Devnarayan Scooty Programs encourage girls’ education. Over 3 lakh youths received skill training under state and central schemes, with 1.7 lakh new approvals under the Youth Empowerment Scheme.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Rajasthan is fostering education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth, women, and marginalized communities, promoting socio-economic development.

Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa and School Education Minister Madan Dilawar praised the transformative work in education, noting that government schools now excel in exam results and Rajasthan ranks third nationally in educational surveys.

The ceremony also included silent tributes to children lost in the Peepalodi tragedy, release of teacher-focused publications, and the launch of innovative initiatives such as Prakhar Rajasthan 2.0 (Read to Lead) and on-demand exams at Rajasthan State Open School.

Senior officials and numerous teachers attended the event, celebrating the dedication and innovation of educators across the state.
