Lok Sabha Speaker’s Visit Continued Till Dawn, Assured Support to Every Affected Family

Spent the Entire Night Among Flood Victims, Heard Their Grievances and Directed Relief Measures

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Setting an example of human sensitivity and public service, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla spent the entire night from Thursday late evening till Friday morning visiting flood-affected villages in Bundi district. Reaching out to the villages hit by heavy rainfall and floods, he shared the grief of the villagers and assured every family that the government and public representatives stand firmly with them at every step of relief and rehabilitation.

Shri Birla’s tour began on Thursday afternoon and continued till Friday morning. While most people were asleep late at night, the Speaker visited villages such as Khyavda, Pachipala, Rihana, Delunda, Maliyon ki Badi, Kheriya Durjan, Borda Kachiyan, and Jhaliji ka Barana. He personally inspected the collapsed houses and ruined crops in the fields, assessed the damage, and held direct interactions with the affected families. Some narrated the pain of losing their homes, while others shared the distress of losing livestock and crops. Shri Birla patiently stayed with every family, listening carefully to their problems, and assured them of immediate help.

Along with the inspection, Shri Birla also held a meeting with the district administration and gave clear instructions to complete the survey of damaged houses at the earliest and release compensation. Families who had not yet received assistance for clothes and utensils under the NDRF fund should be resurveyed and included in the list. Additionally, crop assessments must be conducted so that farmers can be compensated as per rules. He emphasized that the survey must be done transparently to ensure no family is left out of relief.

In villages Borda Kachiyan and Jhaliji ka Barana, Shri Birla told the residents that in this time of crisis, no family is alone. Responding to their demands, he also assured financial assistance from the MP Fund for the repair of damaged roads and the roof of the Tejaji Temple. He said that addressing people’s suffering and wiping away their tears is his foremost priority.

The tour was accompanied by District Collector Shri Akshay Godara, former MLA Smt. Chandrakanta Meghwal, Shri Rameshwar Meena, and other administrative officials. The visit continued till about 4:30 AM. Villagers expressed gratitude to the Lok Sabha Speaker for ensuring quick relief materials, ration, and medical facilities, saying that his visit gave them strength and renewed confidence.
