Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division to run Additional EMU Specials during Durga Puja.

Sept 2025 : In a bid to facilitate travel & ensure the utmost convenience for commuters and to clear anticipated rush of passengers during Durga Puja and Laxmi Puja, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division announced special trains for passengers during the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja and Laxmi Puja, the most significant festival in Bengal.

Eastern Railway plans to operate 31 additional services of Suburban Special trains on daily basis having stoppages at all stations enroute on the nights of:

• 27.09.2025 & 28.09.2025;  
• 28.09.2025 & 29.09.2025;
• 29.09.2025 & 30.09.2025;
• 30.09.2025 & 01.10.2025;
• 01.10.2025 & 02.10.2025.

• One (01) pair Sealdah – Ranaghat Local (leaving Sealdah at 21:40 Hours to reach Ranaghat at 23:30 Hours and leaving Ranaghat at 01:15 Hours to reach Sealdah at 02:53 Hours).

• One (01) pairs Sealdah – Naihati Locals (leaving Sealdah at 01:00 Hours to reach Naihati at 02:00 Hours and leaving Naihati at 02:10 Hours to reach Sealdah at 03:10 Hours).

• One (01) pairs Ranaghat – Naihati Locals (leaving Ranaghat at 23:45 Hours to reach Naihati at 00:20 Hours and leaving Naihati at 00:30 Hours to reach Ranaghat at 01:05 Hours).

• Two (02) pairs Sealdah – Kalyani Locals (leaving Sealdah at 21:10 Hours & 00:12 Hours to reach Kalyani at 22:25 Hours & 01:25 Hours respectively and leaving Kalyani at 22:35 Hours & 01:35 Hours to reach Sealdah at 23:48 Hours & 02:55 Hours respectively).

• One (01) pair Sealdah – Bangaon local (leaving Sealdah at 02:30 Hours & to reach Bangaon at 04:30 Hours and leaving Bangaon at 22:20 Hours to reach Sealdah at 00:20 Hours).

• One (01) pair Sealdah – Barasat local (leaving Sealdah at 00:32 Hours & to reach Barasat at 01:15 Hours and leaving Barasat at 01:25 Hours to reach Sealdah at 02:08 Hours).

• One (01) Ranaghat – Krishnanagar Local (leaving Ranaghat at 23:45 Hours to reach Krishnanagar at 00:25 Hours).

• One (01) Krishnanagar – Kalyani   Local (leaving Krishnanagar at 03:25 Hours to reach Kalyani at 04:10 Hours).

• One (01) Kalyani – Ranaghat Local (leaving Kalyani at 04:20 Hours to reach Ranaghat at 04:55 Hours).

• One (01) pair Krishnanagar – Naihati local (leaving Krishnanagar at 00:35 Hours to reach Naihati at 01:50 Hours and leaving Naihati at 02:00 Hours to reach Krishnanagar at 03:15 Hours).

• One (01) pairs Sealdah (South) – Baruipur local (leaving Sealdah at 23:40 Hours to reach Baruipur at 00:25 Hours and leaving Baruipur at 03:45 Hours to reach Sealdah at 04:30 Hours).

• Two (02) pairs Baruipur – Ballygunge Locals (leaving Baruipur at 00:35 Hours & 02:10 Hours to reach Ballygunge at 01:10 Hours & 02:45 Hours respectively and leaving Ballygunge at 01:20 Hours & 03:00 Hours to reach Baruipur at 01:55 Hours & 03:35 Hours respectively).

• One (01) pair Sealdah – Budge Budge local (leaving Sealdah at 23:30 Hours to reach Budge Budge at 00:18 Hours and leaving Budge Budge at 02:50 Hours to reach Sealdah at 03:40 Hours).

• Two (02) pairs Budge Budge – New Alipur Locals (leaving Budge Budge at 00:30 Hours & 01:40 Hours to reach New Alipur at 00:50 Hours & 02:00 Hours respectively and leaving New Alipur at 01:05 Hours & 02:15 Hours to reach Budge Budge at 01:25 Hours & 02:35 Hours respectively).

Moreover, all Suburban train services will follow Sunday running on 28.09.2025, 29.09.2025, 30.09.2025, 01.10.2025 and 02.10.2025 upto 14:00 Hours (starting from originating station). After 14:00 Hours (starting from originating station), all Suburban train services will continue their services having stoppages at all stations including Halts and Flags enroute on those days. Apart from this, One Sealdah – Baruipur passenger special will leave Sealdah (South) at 17:35 Hours on the above days.

• 33863 Sealdah – Bangaon Local scheduled to leave Sealdah at 23:50 hrs on 27.09.2025, 28.09.2025, 29.09.2025, 30.09.2025 & 01.10.2025 will be rescheduled at 00:10 hrs on 28.09.2025, 29.09.2025, 30.09.2025, 01.10.2025 and 02.10.2025 respectively.

24 EMU locals (33437, 33438, 33401, 33366, 33801, 33823, 33832, 31636, 31622, 31623, 31712, 31711, 31801, 31838, 31821, 31824, 31601, 31634, 34502, 34355, 34602, 34626, 34627 & 34650) will remain cancelled on above days.

No change in the running schedule of 03 pairs of AC EMU locals.
