Mrs. Ritu Suhas Felicitates Girls at Taekwondo Championship

Lucknow Oct 2025 : Under Mission Shakti 5.0, an Open Inter-District Taekwondo Championship was organized today at K.D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow, where 200 girl students from across Uttar Pradesh showcased their talent, determination, and strength through outstanding performances.

On this occasion, Mrs. Ritu Suhas, Additional Director, Urban Development Department, Uttar Pradesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest and felicitated all participating girls for their remarkable efforts and achievements. She appreciated their enthusiasm, discipline, and confidence.

During her address, Mrs. Suhas emphasized, “For true women empowerment, mental strength is as important as physical strength. Self-defense and self-confidence are the two pillars upon which every woman can build the foundation of her success and progress.”

Highlighting the objectives of Mission Shakti, she added that the initiative is not limited to ensuring women’s safety alone but also aims to strengthen their confidence, self-reliance, and self-respect — marking a broader social transformation towards women’s empowerment.

The event featured impressive Taekwondo demonstrations by the participants, reflecting the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and empowerment. All the participants were presented with certificates and mementos in recognition of their performance.

The program witnessed the presence of trainers, teachers, parents, and a large number of students. Throughout the event, the message of “Nari Shakti, Nari Suraksha, and Nari Samman” (Women’s Power, Safety, and Dignity) resonated across the venue.
