Happiness and prosperity of farmers is our aim: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that the happiness and prosperity of farmers is the goal of our government. Our government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers. He said that Chhattisgarh is an agriculture-based state, the livelihood of 80 percent of the population here depends on agriculture. The Chief Minister said that Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi have worked to make farming prosperous by taking many important decisions in the interest of farmers.
Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing a large number of people present in the Hareli Tihar program organized at his residence in the capital Raipur today. On this occasion, he congratulated and wished the people of the state on Hareli festival. The Chief Minister said that for 15 years in Chhattisgarh, the government under the leadership of Dr. Raman Singh has worked for the betterment of farmers. Facilities like agricultural loan at zero percent interest were made available to farmers. 21 quintals of paddy is being purchased from farmers per acre. Farmers of Chhattisgarh are getting a price of Rs 3100 per quintal, which is the highest in the country.
A colourful event was organized on Hareli festival at the Chief Minister’s residence. The entire complex was decorated in a rural environment. On the first festival of Chhattisgarhi folk culture “Hareli”, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, along with his wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai, performed Gauri-Ganesh Puja and anointed Lord Shiva. The Chief Minister prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state by duly worshipping the plough, spade, hoe and agricultural equipment used in agriculture.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai visited the exhibition of advanced agricultural equipment set up by the Agriculture Department and provided keys of tractors and harvesters and other agricultural equipment to 23 farmers on subsidy.
On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai also addressed the program. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is working with full commitment and true heart for the betterment of the people of the state, as a result, he is getting God’s blessings. The state is receiving good rainfall. He said that in the last six months, under the leadership of Shri Sai, great work has been done for the welfare of farmers, which is being discussed all over the country. On this occasion, Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MLA Smt. Lata Usendi, Shri Moti Lal Sahu, Shri Anuj Sharma, Shri Sampat Agarwal, Shri Gajendra Yadav, Shri Khuswant Saheb and other public representatives and dignitaries were present.
Raut danced and Gedi was celebrated at the Chief Minister’s residence
People present at the Chief Minister’s residence enthusiastically participated in Hareli with the enjoyment of Chhattisgarhi music, folk dance, traditional Gadwa Baja, Raut Nacha, Geddi dance, Rahchuli and various Chhattisgarhi dishes and delicacies. On this occasion, folk artists performed Raut Nacha, Karma dance, Bastariya dance and Geddi Chadkar dance. On the request of the artists of Raut Nacha, the Chief Minister wore Chhattisgarhi traditional costumes and encouraged the artists.

On the occasion of Hareli festival, the Chief Minister’s residence was filled with the fragrance of Chhattisgarhi cuisine. Delicious dishes like Thethri, Khurmi, Pidia, Anarsa, Khaja, Curry Laddu, Muthia, Dumpling Bhajiya, Cheela-Fara, Bara were specially prepared for the guests who came on Hareli Tihar, which the guests enjoyed.
