CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Holds Virtual Meeting on Preparations for Campaign Celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting from Lohiahead Guest House, Khatima, to review preparations for the upcoming campaign organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary year of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and a symbol of national unity.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the successful organization of the Unity March (Ekta March). He instructed that grand cultural and public awareness programs be held in schools and colleges, ensuring active participation from youth, women, local bodies, NCC, self-help groups, public representatives, and various social organizations.
Dhami emphasized that details of all planned activities should be shared at the state level so that the campaign’s message reaches the widest possible audience. The Chief Minister said the campaign’s primary goal is to spread the message of national unity to every household.
He stated that this event should be celebrated in an inspiring and grand manner to spread awareness about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s monumental contribution to the nation and his vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India).
“Sardar Patel United India with Courage and Vision”
Chief Minister Dhami said that the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel should be celebrated historically, so that the new generation can draw inspiration from his ideals and contributions.
He remarked that Sardar Patel, through his indomitable courage, strong willpower, and statesmanship, built a strong and united India. It was due to his vision and efforts that the princely states were integrated, laying the foundation of a unified nation. “Sardar Patel’s diplomacy and foresight played a major role in shaping the history of independent India,” Dhami said.
The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has carried forward the dreams of Sardar Patel. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India is advancing in every sector with the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
Dhami also highlighted that the ‘Statue of Unity’ — built by the Prime Minister in Kevadia, Narmada district, Gujarat, in honor of Sardar Patel — stands as the world’s tallest statue and symbolizes India’s unity, integrity, and national pride.
He added that Sardar Patel’s thoughts continue to inspire the nation in promoting unity, harmony, and the building of a stronger India.
