Chief Secretary Reviews State Budget Announcements, Calls Viksit Bharat–2047 the Roadmap for Development

Jaipur, Nov 2025 — Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas said that Viksit Bharat–2047 is the roadmap for the state’s development. He directed all departments to implement the budget announcements on the ground in a time-bound manner so that the state government’s goal of delivering better public services can be achieved. He emphasized that to accomplish all the medium- and long-term goals of Viksit Bharat–2047, departments must prepare action plans keeping all “key factor indicators” in focus and ensure concrete progress.

Chairing a review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Secretary assessed the progress of state budget announcements and Viksit Bharat–2047 indicators related to the departments of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Higher Education, Art & Culture, Medical & Health, Ayurveda, Cooperation, School Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, and Medical Education.

He instructed all departments to execute budget announcements with timeliness, transparency, and effectiveness, so that the mission of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma — aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas — can be realized, ensuring public welfare.

The Chief Secretary also directed the introduction of biometric attendance and other technological systems to prevent absenteeism among personnel, including in the education department.

During the meeting, Principal Secretary of Medical & Health, Smt. Gayatri Rathore, briefed about the status of district-level hospitals and improvements made over the past two years, as well as the rising number of medical colleges. Principal Secretary of Cooperation, Smt. Manju Rajpal, presented details of installment disbursements under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. School Education Secretary Shri Krishna Kunal shared updates on the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and the progress of the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan initiative.

Additional Chief Secretary of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Sandeep Verma; Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education, Shri Kuldeep Ranka; Secretary of Sports & Youth Affairs, Shri Neeraj K. Pawan; Secretary of Planning Department, Dr. Ravi Kumar Surpur; and NHM Managing Director, Dr. Amit Yadav were present at the meeting.
