BJP Can Never Conquer Tamil Nadu, Says CM Stalin at DMK Youth Wing Meet
Chennai, Dec 2025 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that the party would never succeed in the state, regardless of the strategies or political manoeuvres it adopts. Responding sharply to recent remarks by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Stalin said the BJP had no understanding of Tamil Nadu’s political culture and social ethos.
Addressing the DMK Youth Wing executive meeting in Tiruvannamalai, the Chief Minister declared that arrogance and authoritarian politics would find no acceptance in the state. “No matter what tricks you bring, you cannot do anything here. You cannot win Tamil Nadu,” Stalin said to loud applause from party cadres.
He drew a clear contrast between inclusive politics and what he termed coercive political behaviour. “If you come with love, we will embrace you. If you come with arrogance, we will not bow. We will resist, and we will win,” he said, reaffirming the DMK’s commitment to protecting Tamil Nadu’s political identity, social justice legacy, and Dravidian ideology.
CM Stalin thanked senior minister E.V. Velu for organising the large-scale youth meet and lauded Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin for energising the party’s younger cadre. “No matter how much Udhayanidhi thanks E.V. Velu, it will not be enough. I thank him once again,” Stalin said, adding that the enthusiasm of the youth reminded him of the formative years of the Dravidian movement. “Seeing this conference, I feel as though I have travelled back half a century. The energy of the youth has deeply moved me.”
Reflecting on the growth of the DMK, the Chief Minister recalled how the party painstakingly built its youth organisation by travelling across villages and towns, engaging directly with people, and expanding political awareness from the grassroots. “Nothing was handed over to us easily, nor did we seize power through shortcuts. We faced obstacles, hardships, and opposition at every step,” he said.
Stalin noted that divisive and reactionary ideas once spread rapidly across society, but the Dravidian movement successfully countered them through rationalism, social reform, and political education. “We transformed tea shops and salons into platforms for debate and discussion. There was a time when we worried about how far Tamil Nadu had fallen. Today, we have reached a stage where the entire country looks back at Tamil Nadu with respect,” he said.
Defending Udhayanidhi Stalin against criticism from political rivals, CM Stalin dismissed claims portraying him as “dangerous.” He described his son as a responsible and decisive leader who understands governance and political accountability. “Udhayanidhi functions as a strong power centre. He steps into the field and strikes decisively. He is constantly strengthening his political clarity and intellectual capacity, which defines a good politician,” he added.
Calling upon the DMK Youth Wing to play a decisive role in the Assembly elections scheduled for next year, the Chief Minister urged cadres to take the state government’s schemes, achievements, and welfare initiatives to every household. Emphasising the DMK’s responsibility to safeguard India’s diversity and federal structure, Stalin concluded, “With your hard work and the people’s support, the DMK will once again form the government in Tamil Nadu.”
