CM Interacts with State Youth Selected for 29th National Youth Festival, Encourages Leadership and Nation-Building
Jaipur, January 2026: Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma interacted with youth participants from the state selected for the 29th National Youth Festival, emphasizing that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is realizing Swami Vivekananda’s ideals through his vision of a self-reliant and developed India. He described the youth as the drivers of the nation and the greatest hope for the future.
Speaking at the interaction held at the Chief Minister’s office, Mr. Sharma said that youth leadership grows through curiosity and confidence, and the selected participants will act as brand ambassadors for the state at the festival in New Delhi. He encouraged them to uphold the spirit of Vivekananda’s call: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is organizing youth and sports festivals at district, division, and state levels from January 7 to 12 to promote talent. Cash prizes are being awarded to participants at district (₹1,000), divisional (₹1,500), and state (₹50,000) levels, along with the Rajasthan Youth Icon Award worth ₹1 lakh.
Mr. Sharma also noted that 92,000 youth have been provided government jobs, over 1.5 lakh recruitments are in process, and around 2.5 lakh youth have received employment in the private sector along with skill training for over 3 lakh. He praised youth participation in events such as Khelo India University Games and Rajasthan DigiFest TIE Global Summit, urging young people to become job creators rather than job seekers.
The Chief Minister congratulated Harsitha Sharma, winner of the National Youth Parliament, and Kavya Singh, who met the Prime Minister at last year’s Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue. He wished all selected participants success at the festival, which includes 44 youth for the Young Leaders Dialogue, 29 for cultural competitions such as folk dance, singing, storytelling, painting, and speech, and 2 for the Hack for Social Cause event.
During the interaction, youth shared their commitment to contributing to India’s development in education, health, technology, and other sectors. The Chief Minister engaged in one-on-one conversations and took selfies with the participants. The event was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (CM) Akhil Arora, Secretary of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan, and other officials.
