Sindhudurg District Will Be Taken to the Top Rank Through Coordination of All Agencies: Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane

Inauguration and Dedication of Development Works Under the ‘Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan’

Sindhudurgnagari, Jan 2026 : Sindhudurg district has always remained at the forefront in effectively delivering various government welfare schemes to the last beneficiary at the grassroots level and has achieved progressive and commendable performance in many initiatives. Emphasising the need to accelerate this momentum, Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane said that through coordination among all departments and agencies, Sindhudurg must consistently be brought to the number one position in the state.

He was speaking at a programme held under his chairmanship to inaugurate and dedicate development works, along with the distribution of individual benefits and a felicitation ceremony, organised under the Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan. Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Khebudkar, Superintendent of Police Dr Mohan Dahikar, Additional Chief Executive Officer Sheetal Pund, District Bank Chairman Manish Dalvi, Prabhakar Sawant and other officials were present on the occasion.

Guardian Minister Rane said that various schemes implemented through the Zilla Parishad are directly benefiting individual beneficiaries, while simultaneously strengthening the rural economy as a whole. These schemes are making rural citizens financially self-reliant and ensuring that the fruits of development reach the last mile. Expressing confidence that Sindhudurg will lead on every development indicator and secure the first rank in the state, he appealed to all agencies to work in close coordination.

He further stated that the schemes implemented by the Zilla Parishad are bringing about positive changes in the standard of living of rural citizens. By ensuring last-mile delivery across sectors, the Zilla Parishad has effectively implemented government policies. He urged officials to focus on the proper and transparent utilisation of funds provided by the government, timely completion of works, and encouragement of innovation. If all officers and staff work with a positive mindset and uphold the ideals of people-centric administration, the overall development of Sindhudurg district will certainly be achieved, he added.

Guardian Minister Rane also highlighted that Sindhudurg is set to become the first district to use artificial intelligence (AI) systems, calling it a matter of pride. With the effective use of AI by the Zilla Parishad, there has been a noticeable increase in speed, accuracy and transparency in administrative work, and tangible progress is clearly visible. He said the district aims to make administration more people-oriented and effective through the use of modern technology.

He stressed the importance of sharing the success stories of beneficiaries who have gained from various schemes, as such stories inspire other citizens to avail themselves of these benefits. The schemes are generating employment and increasing incomes, which will certainly lead to a rise in the district’s per capita income in the future, he said.

Guardian Minister Rane further noted that substantial funds are being spent for public welfare through the District Annual Plan. He clarified that these funds are not the government’s money but the rightful money of the people, and therefore every rupee must be spent transparently and effectively in the public interest. Ensuring that government schemes and funds reach citizens directly is the primary objective, he said. Reiterating his commitment as Guardian Minister, Rane said he would continue to make consistent efforts for the all-round development of Sindhudurg district. With coordination among the administration, public representatives and citizens, Sindhudurg will emerge as a model district for development in the state, he expressed confidence.
