Raipur, January 2026 : The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Naya Raipur, operating under the Chhattisgarh Tourism Department, has begun the admission process for the 2026 academic session. The institute is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and has achieved a 100 percent placement record, providing youth with employment opportunities at national-level institutions.

The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Raipur, is a leading institution run by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Department. Post-matric scholarship schemes are available for all courses, enabling students from economically weaker sections to access quality hospitality education. The institute offers degree, diploma, and vocational courses in areas such as food production, bakery, housekeeping, and related fields. After one-and-a-half years of diploma training, students begin working in five-star hotels. Admission Process and Important Dates

Admissions are conducted through the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE – 2026). The online application process has already begun. Candidates must register through the official website:

The last date to apply is January 25, 2026.

The computer-based entrance examination will be conducted for a total of 120 marks, comprising Numerical Ability (15 marks), Reasoning and Logical Ability (15 marks), General Knowledge and Current Affairs (15 marks), English Language (45 marks), and Service Sector Aptitude (30 marks).

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in any stream. Students currently appearing in Class 12 are also eligible to apply. English as a subject in Class 12 is mandatory. There is no age restriction.

The NCHM JEE is a national-level online objective examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Applicants must complete the registration form, pay the prescribed fee, and submit the application online. The entrance examination will be held on April 25, 2026, with results expected in May 2026. Online counselling will begin in June 2026. Dates are subject to change as per official notifications.
