54th Mizoram Police Raising Day Celebrated with Honors and Awards
Aizawl, Jan 2026 : The 54th Mizoram Police Raising Day was celebrated at GS Arya Mess, Police Headquarters, Aizawl. The event commemorates the courage, service, and dedication of Mizoram Police toward the people and the state. This day also highlights the achievements of the police in ensuring public safety and community trust.
DGP Sharad Agarwal praised the Mizoram Police for their bravery and public service, recalling that since 1972, the police have upheld law and order and maintained peace across the state. He shared that in the past year, 483 individuals were arrested and 319 cases were successfully concluded, demonstrating the force’s efficiency and vigilance.
The DGP emphasized ongoing initiatives in Demand Reduction and Harm Reduction, and noted the use of online FIRs and CCTNS to enhance transparency and citizen participation. He also highlighted the Police Modernisation Scheme, which provides bullet-proof vehicles, forensic software, and other essential equipment for efficient policing.

Recognized officers like Lalremsanga and T. Lalhruaitluanga for their valor during major NDPS operations, protecting lives and maintaining public safety. - Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak 2025:
Awarded to officers in Intelligence and Investigation Categories, including Inspector Lalchhuanmawia and Sub-Inspector Samuel Lalramenkima, for exemplary service in intelligence gathering and criminal investigations. - Gallant Warriors Award 2024–2025:
Presented by Ek Hi Rasta Trust to officers for distinguished service benefiting citizens, including Sub-Inspector J. Lalnghinglova and Constable C/627 Lalkhawngaiha. - DGP’s Commendation Disc & Certificate 2025:
Honored officers for exceptional performance in handling high-value seizures, including Victor Zothansanga and Alan Hmangaihsanga, notably seizing 20 kg heroin with high purity. - Best Police Station of Mizoram 2025:
Awarded to Vaivakawn Police Station for excellence in crime data management, investigation quality, and public feedback, presented by DGP Sharad Agarwal to Inspector Zoramsanga.
During the celebrations, 18 retired IPS and MPS officers were also felicitated, and the Mizoram Police Unity Band performed, marking the occasion with pride and honor.
This day reinforced the commitment of Mizoram Police to safety, service, and community engagement.
