Third “Raj Unnati” Meeting Chaired by Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday chaired the third “Raj Unnati” meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, reviewing progress on eight major projects and two schemes worth approximately ₹4,258 crore across seven departments. Detailed directions were issued to ensure timely completion of development projects with special emphasis on quality.
The Chief Secretary and district collectors were instructed to monitor grievances submitted via the Contact Portal regularly, ensure prompt resolution, and hold negligent officials accountable. Citizens participating in the meeting expressed satisfaction with the solutions provided to their complaints.
Key Directives and Highlights
- Custom Hiring Centers: Agriculture department officials were directed to expedite the establishment of centers announced in the budget and ensure regular progress, with applications received during village development camps promptly approved.
- Storage and Warehousing: Cooperative societies’ warehouses under Gram Seva Cooperative Committees with capacities of 100 and 500 metric tons must be completed quickly with strict quality standards. Third-party inspections should ensure adherence to quality norms.
- Centers of Excellence: Progress on the Brahmagupta Center of Frontier Technologies, including blockchain, cybersecurity, AI, and quantum computing excellence centers, was reviewed. Timelines and project reports for the Center of Excellence for Mines and Minerals were set to ensure rapid implementation.
- Industrial Waste Management: Effective plans were directed to prevent industrial and sewerage discharge into the Dravyawati River. All remaining industrial units must be connected to CETP, with strict action against violators.
- Infrastructure Projects: Rapid approval and construction of the Kartarpura underpass, road widening, and slip lanes near cooperative routes were emphasized. Progress on Dudu-Sambhar-Bhatipura road and the Greenfield cement plant in Nagaur was reviewed.
- Panch Gaurav Program: Recognized as the state government’s “dream project,” the program aims to boost local products and district economies. Farmers are to be encouraged to link crop-processing units with tourism for employment opportunities. Regular monitoring at the Chief Secretary level was mandated, with detailed expansion plans prepared.
- AI in Governance: The Smart (Service Management with Artificial Intelligence and Real-Time System) initiative should go beyond data matching, automatically identifying eligible beneficiaries and linking them to schemes.
The “Raj Unnati” initiative allows the Chief Minister to review major projects directly with senior officials via video conferencing, providing real-time solutions. In the previous two meetings, projects worth ₹86,225 crore were reviewed. The meeting included Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas, other secretaries, divisional commissioners, and district collectors.
