Lord Shri Krishna’s karma-oriented existence inspires us even today – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Geeta Bhawan Centers will be opened in all the urban bodies of the state. Spiritual knowledge and teachings of great men and our scriptures will reach the common people through these centers. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made this announcement in a lecture series organized by the Culture Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government on the occasion of Lord Krishna Janmashtami at Geeta Bhawan, Indore. He narrated the various events of Lord Krishna’s life in a very interesting manner. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working to provide information about the Karma-oriented existence of Lord Shri Krishna to the common people through such lectures. Shri Vijay Dutt Shridhar and Shri Prabhu Dayal Mishra gave their lectures.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Shri Mahendra Hardiya, MLA Shri Golu Shukla, MLA Shri Madhu Verma, Shri Gaurav Ranadive, Chairman of Geeta Bhawan Trust Indore Shri Ramchandra Aron, Trust Secretary Shri Ram Vilas Rathi, besides officials and members of Geeta Bhawan Trust were present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, various programs on the life of Lord Shri Krishna are being organized across the state, which also includes lectures. The state government is acting as a small matchstick to light the lamp of knowledge. Through lectures, our seniors are making the lives of our great men and their works accessible to the common people in a very easy way. He said that the entire life of Lord Shri Krishna has been based on karma. He considered karma as dharma, and prioritized karma in his leelas. Lord Shri Krishna has narrated the conversation between Lord Buddha and his disciple interestingly. Lord Buddha said that the cause of death is birth. Every living being born on earth is sure to die. We celebrate the births of Gods because the deeds done by them in human life are worth worshipping. The Gods incarnated in the Manushya Yoni (human form). Birth is necessary for the accumulation of virtue. By taking birth in various Avatars, God gave importance to his actions in human life amidst happiness and sorrow. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav mentioned the sacrifices of Mata Devaki and Vasudev, Baba Nand, and Mata Yashoda. He said that from birth, Lord Krishna kept karma and effort as the main priority through various activities in his entire life.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav talked about providing all possible support to Geeta Bhawan Trust of Indore. He said that the initiative of “Har Ghar Krishna-Har Ghar Yashoda” is unique in Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered prayers to Lord Krishna in the temple and offered a flute. In the program, statues of Shri Krishna and Radha were presented to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on behalf of the Trust.

On Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival, Shri Vijay Dutt Shridhar, in his lecture on ‘Shri Krishna ke Bhav, Saundarya aur Prema ka Samucchay’, said that Lord Shri Krishna has been the pioneer of Indian culture. He presented the story of Shri Krishna’s life in a very interesting manner by narrating different stories related to Shri Krishna’s life, including Krishna-Arjuna, Draupadi, Rukmini incident. He presented the verses of the Bhagavad Gita and their meanings in a better and more intuitive manner through his lectures. Shri Shridhar said that this event will prove to help know the Sanatan culture, giving creativity and better direction in the society.

Talking on ‘Shri Krishna Samagrata ki Pratimurti’, Shri Prabhu Dayal Mishra included the last verse of 18 thousand verses of Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta in his lecture and said that only the work done with utmost concentration and dedication is fruitful. One can control one’s actions but not the outcome. He said that there should be a feeling of joy in one’s karma, because there is joy in the role of doing karma, and Lord Shri Krishna considered Karma as Dharma. “I” is included in the body and soul, this is the philosophy of Veda, which is why it is said that God is all-enveloping. A person should always remain firm on his Karma.
