Amc Ward VI By-Election Results Announced; Pu H. Lalremtluanga Elected As New Corporator
Aizawl : Following the by-election organized by the State Election Commission to fill the vacant AMC Ward VI Corporator seat, voting took place on August 22, 2024. Today, the vote counting was conducted at the DC Office, and the results were declared after the completion of the first round of counting. Out of the total 4,691 votes cast, 2,354 votes were secured by ZPM Candidate H. Lalremtluanga, who has been declared the winner. Returning Officer Pu Mark Lalthanliana presented the Certificate of Election to the winning candidate.

In this by-election, the runner-up was Independent Candidate Lalrinfeli, who received 2,273 votes (a difference of 81 votes). BJP Candidate Chawnghmingthanga received 33 votes, and there were 31 NOTA (None of the Above) votes. The voter turnout for this election was 47.38%.
