Cleanliness Fortnight on Prime Minister’s birthday: CM Dr. Yadav
Cleanliness Fortnight will be observed from 17th September, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Several activities will be organized in the Fortnight to be celebrated in the spirit of “Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyaan” under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Many programmes will be organized by urban bodies with public participation, which will conclude on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanty on 2nd October. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav that Prime Minister Shri Modi, has made the cleanliness campaign the form of a mass movement.
Sanskar Swacchata and Swabhav Swachhata
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we will have to follow the principles of Sanskar Swacchata and Swabhav Swachhata. We should also maintain cleanliness. There are three main pillars of cleanliness. First – the participation of the general public, second – shramdaan for cleanliness and third the activities on health check-ups and social security under Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp.
Appeal for public participation
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the cleanliness cannot be maintained by the government alone. The entire society has to come forward. He appealed to the people to actively participate in the “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyaan” voluntarily. During the fortnight, various workshops and programs will be organized through voluntary organizations through which the general public will be made aware of the importance and need for cleanliness. Along with the coordination of various departments, efforts will be made to connect every citizen of the state through social, business, and religious organizations, and gram sabhas for the success of the fortnight. Dr. Yadav has greeted Prime Minister Shri Modi on his birthday.
