Feeder In-charges Play a Key Role in Ensuring Uninterrupted Power Supply: Discoms Chairman Interacts with Feeder In-charges

Jaipur, 21 September: Ms. Aarti Dogra, Chairman of Discoms and Managing Director of Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam, emphasized the crucial role that feeder in-charges play in ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply from village to village. She highlighted that feeder in-charges are the face of the Discoms at the grassroots level and that their performance greatly impacts the overall image of the corporation. She urged them to provide satisfactory services to consumers, thereby contributing to a positive public perception of the organization.

Ms. Dogra was speaking during an interaction with feeder in-charges from various units of Jaipur Discom at Vidyut Bhawan on Saturday. She noted that the responsibilities of feeder in-charges include the maintenance of the 11 KV feeder line connected to the 33 KV sub-station, maintaining power supply, handling new connections, meter replacements, load augmentation, conducting vigilance checks, preventing leakage, and ensuring timely billing and recovery.

Expressing concern over electrical accidents occurring during maintenance work on poles, transformers, and GSS (Grid Sub-Stations), the Discoms Chairman instructed all technical personnel to prioritize safety measures while carrying out such tasks. She stressed the importance of preventing accidents and mishaps by following proper safety protocols. Furthermore, she advised feeder in-charges to interact with consumers with empathy and sensitivity, ensuring their problems are resolved efficiently.

As part of an initiative aimed at improving electricity services through direct engagement with junior technical staff, Ms. Dogra held discussions with 60 feeder in-charges from various districts under Jaipur Discom. She addressed the practical challenges they face in the field and invited suggestions for improvement. She also urged feeder in-charges to actively promote and implement the PM Suryaghar Nishul Bijli Yojana to ensure its benefits reach the masses.

During the session, Technical Director of Jaipur Discom Shri S. S. Nehra, Chief Personnel Officer Shri H. B. Bhatia, and other senior officials were present.
